What would you do? It's the last day of school before summer vacation. As you watch the seconds slowly click off the clock, your mind starts to wonder about the upcoming summer vacation. You start thinking about staying up late, sleeping in every morning, and the many hours wasted in front of the TV. You take another glance at the clock, "What! it's only been two minutes, will this day ever end?" Again your thoughts start wandering, after all you've had enough days of sitting in class all those endless hours, while teachers were yacking about how E=mc2, or about some dead guy that lived hundreds of years ago, and the many, many, trying tests. You just want to get out of here and start your summer vacation. All you want to do is soak up the sun and hang out with your friends. You need out of here bad. Another glance at the clock, "Ugh! It's only been a minute and a half!" Suddenly the classroom door flies open. A student waving a gun enters the room. As other students scream and search for a hiding place, you sit there in a daze, thinking that this guy has flipped his lid. You look up to see the gunman chamber a round and point the gun straight at you. You then hear him say, "Are you deaf or something? I said hit the floor!" As you lay on the floor you're thinking to yourself, "I'm never getting out of here." Then you hear something that amazes you. The gunman is telling everyone that if they don't believe in God they can leave. You have a decision to make. Decision 1: What, Did he just say what I think he did? You think to yourself, "Do I?" You have heard people talk about God. Your family, teachers, and even that preacher dude that won't leave you alone. But you decide that all of that is just a bunch of bull, There's no such thing as God or Heaven. So you stand up, as the gunman runs over to you waving his gun in your face. "What's your deal, hotshot?" he say's to you. You confidently say to him, "Hey, man you're right, there's no such person." The gunman waves you away with his gun. As you exit the school, you see your friends across the road. You yell at them to wait up. As you step on the street to go meet them, a vehicle comes speeding around the corner. You try to jump out of the way, but it's to late. BAM! You're dead! As you open your eyes you see a bright light. You can smell a sweet fragrance in the air. You look around and see others singing and praising some guy named Jesus. You look down to see yourself standing on something crystal clear. It looks like glass, but no it's pure gold. You think to yourself, "all right I'm in Heaven, I guess it does exist." Suddenly the whole place shakes, as you hear a great and powerful voice say, "Depart from me, I never knew you." You blink. As your eyes open, you're in complete and total darkness. You think to yourself, "Hey who turned out the lights." A sinister voice somewhere in the distance says, "you did." The air is filled with the worst odor you have ever smelled. It smells like burning flesh mixed with a rotting corpse. In the distance you can hear screams of horror, anguish, and pain. As you look down, all you see are flames starting to dance around your feet. You try to get away from the flames, only to realize that you can't move. As the flames grow higher to your knees and thighs, you yell,"someone help me." The same sinister voice answers," No one can help you now." You begin to feel the pain, and can smell your own flesh burning, as the flames grow higher to your chest. Again you yell, "Someone help me." No one answers! The flames grow up to your chin and face. The pain only gets worse, because the flames never consume you. The sounds of screams pierce your ears like daggers. The smell intenses as it starts to overwhelm you. Again you scream, "Someone help me." No one answers! Ten thousand years later, The screams of terror are worse, the smell still turns your stomach, and the pain is still as intense as it ever was, if not more. You scream, "Someone please help me." No one answers! Decision 2: You ask yourself, "Do I believe in God?" Sure you attend a local church's youth program, And you go to church every Easter and Christmas. So you guess you're a Christian, but you're not willing to die for it. So, you stand up , with your fingers crossed and say, "there is no God." The gunman waves you away. As you exit the building you look up and say, "I was just kidding God." Nothing too exciting happens the rest of the year. You go on to graduate High School, Get through college, where you meet your spouse, Get married and start a family. Years later, your kids are grown, your spouse and you are gray headed, but you never have admitted that Jesus is Lord, and accepted him as your savior. When you die of old age, you awaken in Heaven. You think to yourself, "Finally I get complete rest in Paradise." Then you here the voice of God say, "Depart from me, I never knew you". No, It can't be! After all, you attended church, and know all the stories of the Bible. You cringe as you await your upcoming fate. You know where you are heading and all the horror that awaits you, but it is too late. You've waited to long. Decision 3: You know you're a Christian, and you're willing to do anything for God. The gunman walks up in front of you. He asks," Well, do you think goodie two shoes?" You look up to see the gunman pointing the gun straight at your head. You swallow the lump in your throat as a bead of sweat rolls down the side of your face. You reply, "Yes I believe God is real." You cringe and prepare for what's about to happen. "Bang!" The bullet whizzes past your right ear. He missed! "How did he miss?" you think to yourself. You look up to see the gunman recock the hammer. "Bang!" The bullet passes by your left ear. He missed again? You look up. The gunman looks as confused as you do. You see the fear start to show in his eyes. He turns and runs, straight to the authorities. As you look back to where he was standing, You see a figure between you and where he was. Can it be? The figure looks just as you pictured what Christ looks like. You have stood up for God, and lived to tell others about it.
